Job summary
The Catering staff ensure that all food provided complies with Food Safety Regulations and meals are appetising and attractively served.
The post holder will be expected to work as part of the wider team, providing an integrated and flexible service, and may sometimes be required to undertake duties within other areas of the Facilities Department based on service needs.
Main duties of the job
1. Prepare food orders ready for supplier dispatch
2. Maintain stock control with regular checks and rotation
3. Unload, check, and sign for incoming goods; process and file order forms and advice notes
4. Deliver, issue, and collect orders, food, and supplies to/from wards and departments
5. Handle enquiries/requests internally and externally
6. Pack and verify food orders for wards
7. Keep records related to duties and stock up to date
8. Maintain cleanliness of the delivery area at all times
9. Operate lifting machinery and check goods orders with concentration
10. Promote and adhere to the Trust’s Mission, Values, and Behaviours
