SHEQ ADVISOR - MIDLANDS
You will provide support to the SHEQ department and OUTCO operational teams, ensuring legislative requirements are understood and met, and maintaining continuous improvement in practice and culture. This includes providing advice, facilitating workshops, communicating with operational teams, developing policies and standards, and engaging with operational delivery teams, contractors, and clients.
THE ROLE
1. Advise on legislative changes affecting business practice.
2. Ensure strategic aims are understood and met by operations.
3. Lead incident investigations for causation analysis.
4. Facilitate SHEQ workshops for workforce capability improvement.
5. Develop SHEQ communications including safety alerts and lessons learned.
6. Assist leadership in workforce engagement on SHEQ-related matters.
7. Review standards, procedures and guidance to ensure suitability and value to operations and organisation.
8. Assist in the development of the Integrated Management System including the writing of documents.
9. Assist in preparing and facilitating third party auditors.
10. Assist in maintaining third party certifications and accreditations.
11. Undertake site inspections (including supply chain).
12. Perform internal strategic audits.
13. Support external supply chain audits and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire support.
14. Prepare a monthly report of activities undertaken and present to SHEQ Manager.
15. Undertake travel and work where necessary within the specified region.
16. Ensure that all company systems are used effectively and appropriately.
ABOUT YOU
1. Previous experience within the Facilities Management or Property Management market would be highly advantageous.
2. You will be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the business.
3. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
4. Minimum of 2+ years HSEQ experience.
5. Auditing experience and familiarity with ISO management systems.
6. Ability to develop relationships and influence change with operational management.
7. Full UK Driving Licence (or UK valid Licence).
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Planning and organisational skills to ensure efficacy and timely support.
10. Computer literate with all Microsoft package applications.
11. Chartered member of IOSH or similar professional qualifications.
12. Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
13. Experience in auditing QHSE Management systems.
