Job summary An opportunity has arisen within the Neurovascular team for an Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist. The post holder will work as a member of the Neurovascular team within this service allowing both professional and personal development on a one year fixed term contract. Main duties of the job Responsibilities will include assisting with the management of patients admitted as emergencies and electively with neurovascular conditions. This includes being a point of contact throughout the patients stay and after going home. Preadmission examination and assessment of elective cases may be included in the caseload, and you will be able to counsel patients for neurovascular procedures. You will support nursing staff where appropriate, engage in teaching and be involved in research and audit. The role involves liaising with medical staff, nurses and therapists in both hospital and community settings to provide evidence-based care to those involved with the neurovascular patient.
