Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-Trade Operative to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple construction trades and the ability to carry out a variety of tasks with high-quality workmanship. This role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Construction Work:
o Perform a range of construction tasks, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting, plastering, and basic electrical work.
o Undertake repairs, installations, and renovations as required.
2. Team Collaboration:
o Work alongside other tradespeople and contractors to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors, site managers, and clients.
3. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure all work meets safety standards, building regulations, and client specifications.
o Inspect completed tasks to ensure high-quality workmanship.
4. Problem-Solving:
o Diagnose and resolve on-site issues, providing solutions to unforeseen challenges.
5. Tools and Materials:
o Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
o Manage and maintain tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
o Handle materials responsibly to minimize waste.
6. Health and Safety Compliance:
o Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site.
o Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in multiple construction trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, painting, etc.).
* NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent certification in a relevant trade (preferred but not essential).
* Knowledge of building regulations and safety protocols.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
* Valid CSCS card (preferred).
* Full UK driving license (if site travel is required).
* Own tools (depending on the role).

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 weeks
Pay: Up to £165.00 per day
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Day shift
Experience: Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)
