We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Officer to support our organization's operational efficiency, workflow management, and cross-functional collaboration at our Canary Wharf, London office. The ideal candidate will work closely with the team to improve processes, implement solutions and assist in data management and analysis.
Please note, this is a 1yr fixed term contract.
About the Role
As an Operations Officer at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:
1. Work with delivery and core teams to support organization-wide mapping of major events, activities and key priorities.
2. Work across teams to help create processes to facilitate efficient interaction and simplify existing processes and ways of working where possible.
3. Assist in identifying and resolving workflow bottlenecks.
4. Document and maintain guides for standard operations procedures (e.g., onboarding process for contractors; onboarding of vendors).
5. Support the implementation of corporate policies with support of finance and legal and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure training for staff is rolled out as required.
6. Work with delivery teams to help coordinate and align KPIs across all teams at the Foundation. Provide support to teams with annual and strategic planning as needed.
7. Work with TR facilities and operations teams (including travel and security teams) as needed to help ensure group-wide policies and approaches are embedded in Foundation ways of working.
8. Work closely with different teams to help design and execute corporate and impact surveys, collating, analysing and communicating results to SLT and relevant stakeholders.
9. Support in collating, analyzing, and communicating survey results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
10. Work with all teams across the Foundation to help ensure relevant information is stored on Salesforce and can be shared across teams.
11. Support the creation of systems for efficient storing and sharing of templates and other information to support cross-functional working.
About You
To be our Operations Officer, you will likely have:
1. Experience in business operations.
2. Proven track record in designing, developing and implementing processes and workflows.
3. Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade.
4. Drive to innovate and use data to create efficiencies and better outcomes - constantly focused on continuous improvement and unblocking challenges.
5. Strong teamwork skills.
6. Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to manage concurrent projects with competing priorities.
7. Fluent spoken and written English.
8. Eligible to work in the UK.
