The primary responsibility of the Client Services Coordinator role is to organise AHKES solid fuel laboratory related appointments. This client facing position must ensure that a professional level of service is maintained and succeeded at all times. The incumbent will be responsible for meeting client expectations whilst accurately reporting on results and operations in a timely manner. To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE Responsibilities Liaise with clients on all aspects of appointments to ensure that a professional level of service is maintained. Excellent client liaison skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships. Technical ability in regards to inspection, sampling and analysis in line with internationally recognised standard. To liaise with sample preparation and laboratory departments to prioritise work specific to customer’s requirements and expectations. Evaluate all analysis results prior to issue and liaise with sample preparation and laboratory where checks are required. Flexibility to move between laboratory and shipping operations departments offering support and assistance where workload demands, as directed by Client Services Operations Manager. To ensure that work throughput is followed in accordance with documented methods and procedures, informing the Client Services Operations Manager of any failure in compliance to documented methods. Essential Strong communication skills and adaptable to the situation/culture. Ability to create/maintain relationships. Pro-active mindset and ability to “think ahead”. Strive for perfection and keen eye for detail. Must work well under pressure. Good operational skills and ability to adapt to a fast paced intense environment. Knowledge of analytical content and industry standard methods – ISO/ASTM. Team player – support colleagues, management and the business needs. IT, AHKES systems and Microsoft packages knowledge. Required Competencies Operational skills and good communication – These are key in order to solve problems and assist in fluid situations. Flexible and adaptable to the environment – A fast paced environment that often requires flexibility. Problem solver and level headed under pressure. Required Work Experience Experience in day to day Laboratory operations environment and ability to understand operations is advantageous. Follow the scope of the appointment as per client requirements however be pro-active and solve operational issues when/if they arise. Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional certification and experience. Travel / Rotation Requirements Travel as required both domestically and internationally. Must have a valid passport and ability to obtain visas as necessary. Must be available to work overtime & weekends where necessary.
