Our client, an internationally operating B2B media business are looking for an experienced, forward thinking Credit Controller to join its friendly, hardworking accounts team, and take ownership of all aspects of credit control for clients - including international clients. You will proactively pursue outstanding payments, interacting and building relationships with a wide range of customers to reduce the aged debt position - whilst maintaining the relationship and commercial bond with the client.
As Credit Controller, your role will include:
Proactively reducing and chasing debt via phone and e-mail, liaising with clients to ensure payments are met
Building effective working relationships both with clients externally and teams internally
Ensuring customer details are correct and entered into the accounts system
Basic reconciliation of bank and client accounts
Resolving any accounts / customer related queries effectively
Marking up trade journals for invoicing purposes
Assisting with month end reconciliations
I am interested in speaking with candidates who have proven experience working as a Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Sales Ledger Clerk, credit control professional, or Accounts Assistant within a commercial business that ideally operates internationally, and therefore who ideally has experience working with multiple currencies and international customers. Experience using an accounting system or ERP system (such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Oracle, Netsuite) and strong MS Excel skills is important.
