About the Role
We are looking for an Internal Communications Business Partner to help us showcase the fascinating work of policing and play a key role in helping our officers and staff feel informed and valued. You'll be part of a team delivering specialist internal communications advice and support to the whole workforce across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, from providing initial advice and information to help raise awareness of our vision, values, and priorities through to working on designated portfolios with senior figures in the organisation. Job Purpose
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
1. To develop and implement communication strategies in support of particular areas of force business that have a requirement for specialist internal communication support. Leads on the timely and effective delivery of communications projects.
2. To keep internal communication channels up to date on a wide range of issues; This will include creating a wide variety of written, video andvisual content over several different Microsoft platforms.
3. To build strong working relationships with those leading programmes of work across the force, including behaviour change programmes.
4. To be an advisor to senior managers at leadership meetings and lead on communications decision making.
5. Work with colleagues across the communications department to identify where internal and external requirements can be coordinated. Where appropriate, oversee and deliver integrated communications strategies for specific projects.

Additional Information
The postholder must be prepared, on occasion, to work outside of normal hours.
The role holder will be required to visit other locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and therefore needs to have the ability to travel as necessary.
Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 3, NCTJ qualification or other qualification in either PR or general media studies, OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level
Essential Experience
:
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

To have experience of creating visual content and using digital channels to deliver effective communications and engagement.
:
To have proven experience of at least two years in a communications role with a focus on creating and communicating content to internal audiences.

To have proven experience of working at management communications projects to strict deadlines.
