Our client are looking for a Sustainability Consultant with a background and expertise in finance and Private Equity. This role focuses on identifying, structuring, and closing investment deals in the energy transition sector. You’ll work on a variety of projects, including debt and equity investments in companies and projects related to industrial decarbonisation, new energy technologies, and the circular economy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead or support investment deals throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial identification to final closing.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Risk, Legal, Impact Assessment) to evaluate investment opportunities.
* Conduct due diligence, financial modelling, and risk analysis.
* Prepare investment proposals and mentor junior team members.
* Negotiate and finalise legal documentation.
* Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development and execution of Net Zero initiatives.
About You:
* Proven experience in investing/financing in the energy transition sector (e.g., renewable energy, energy efficiency, decarbonisation technologies).
* Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with relevant industry experience.
* Professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CFA, ACT) and experience in investment banking or private equity.
* Strong understanding of financial modelling, risk assessment, and deal structuring.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
