School Groundsman / Caretaker required for a Independant School in Kingston School Groundsman / Caretaker required in Kingston At Engage Education Services, we’re currently recruiting for a School Groundsman / Caretaker in a Independant School in Kingston after building a strong relationship with a local grouping of schools. They are looking for an experienced School Caretaker with experience maintaining a School campus. Our Engage Education Services team specialises in the placement of non-classroom-based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance and Facilities. About the role As a School Caretaker, you’ll be an experienced facilities professional who supervises work across the school with both external and internal contractors. You will have keyholder responsibilities and will be expected to: Sports grounds experience, turf, line marking, mowers, pitch set up, how to operate tractors, mowers etc (training / induction will of course be given), to set up, deal with goals & other equipment etc. Maintain and prepare the pitches for the various sports at School playing fields. Clean and tidy the pathways, pavilion (including gutters) and surrounding areas at thesports grounds ensuring they are clean and tidy and fit for use, weeding replanting andcutting of flowers and shrubs, assistance provided by the Premises Staff. Ensure rubbish bins at the sports grounds and bin area are kept tidy and emptiedregularly. Operate the tractor, mowers and roller and other hand held grounds equipment. Ensure equipment stores and mess hut and associated wash-down areas are clean and tidy. Order equipment and supplies, with approval from the Premises Manager. Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are checked regularly to ensure they are operational Take responsibility for ordering equipment relevant to your role Have good maintenance skills and be able to work alone when needed This is a full-time, temp-perm position.
