Main duties of the job Providing effective, competent and ethical professional leadership to staff within the service ensuring that all services are delivered to recognised national and Health Care standards. Assist the Head of Service with the strategic development, modernisation and innovation of the service and lead its implementation within a variety of settings, working closely with key stakeholders and partners. Support the Head of Service by ensuring that the performance and governance agenda is robustly managed in line with the SBU HB Framework e.g. to include management of incidents, complaints, risk, health and safety, compliance with statutory training. Provide highly specialist / advanced professional advice, second opinions and support to other colleagues. Undertake regular clinical and business audits to ensure the delivery of an outcome based service. Compose business cases and compile bids in the interest of service development.
