This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn through a mixture of on-the-job experience and block release training through an apprenticeship provider. You will learn how to be a Transport Operator, under the guidance of experienced professionals. The role is based on a Monday-Friday working week. You will receive a starting salary of £13,247.61 and once qualified could earn up to £ 30,608.38. The Apprentice Transport Operator Role: This is a fantastic role to really get your teeth into This apprenticeship will help you learn how to develop and implement plans for the routing of company drivers and vehicles, ensuring all relevant resources are deployed cost-effectively and efficiently. Recruitment Referral Bonus Scheme Annual pay review Company sick pay Long Service Bonus Payments Free inhouse job specific training and development Opportunity for career relevant apprenticeships Free onsite parking Free eye tests up to £25 Free tea/coffee/milk Office/Warehouse to wheels scheme Relaxed working environment Employee Assistance Programme Staff Discount Scheme What you’ll be doing as our Apprentice Transport Operator: Learn how to build loads and plan routes efficiently and effectively, taking into account traffic conditions and driver restrictions and requirements Learn how to regularly review and update plans and communicate with all relevant colleagues, sub-contractors and customers of outcomes and any changes in good time of arrangements being made Learn how to identify any barriers to plans and takes appropriate action to ensure adequate resources are in place and any issues relating to collection, transportation and delivery of goods are addressed Learn how to quote prices for movement of loads upon request Learn how to effectively ensure all company systems are updated accurately and on a timely basis and relevant paperwork is in place Work closely with workshop colleagues to learn how to ensure resource requirements and service schedules are met Provide cover for the Customer Service Team where required Training: Follow ongoing training plan to ensure all Learning Outcomes are met over the duration of the apprenticeship Be diligent and committed to the apprenticeship process and make sure that any concerns or questions are raised with the appropriate person Work together with the training provider and Stef Langdons to meet all expectations of the apprenticeship Attend and take part in off site training at regular intervals (usually every 2 months) What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Apprentice Transport Operator?
