Location: Ernulf Academy
Salary: Lead Practitioner 2 – 6 (£52,301 - £57,720)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

About the Role:
Ernulf Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lead Practitioner in Mathematics to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Head of Maths in leading and managing the Maths department, working strategically with the National Lead for Mathematics to develop a well-sequenced curriculum and consistent teaching pedagogy. This role is pivotal in ensuring all students make expected progress across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach excellent, effective lessons.
* Plan and deliver impactful lessons.
* Deliver effective feedback and coaching to drive improvements in the department.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing high-quality feedback and interventions.
* Maintain productive communication with parents regarding pupil progress and development.
* Lead and manage quality assurance processes within the Maths department.
* Contribute to the overall leadership of the academy through specific duties as directed by the Principal.
Person Specification:
* Education and Training: Qualified Teacher Status, Good Honours Degree, evidence of outstanding teaching.
* Experience: Proven track record of excellent pupil outcomes, experience in managing a team, and leading both teachers and associate staff.
* Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, ability to manage change effectively, and inspire trust and respect.
