Job Description
We are seeking a fully qualified and accredited CBT Therapist or Integrative Psychotherapist to support the delivery of our acute mental health inpatient and outpatient group therapy programmes and to deliver individual therapy to outpatients admitted to this service.
There will also be the opportunity for the successful candidate to work with children and young people on an outpatient basis and previous experience of delivering therapy to this age group would be ideal.
This is a permanent part-time position for which the successful candidate will have at least three years post qualification (minimum Level 5 Diploma) experience of working with a range of adult or child and young people mental health issues.
The successful candidate will have prior training and experience specific to CBT, CBT-e, DBT or EMDR skills.
Full professional registration and BACP, BABCP or UKCP accreditation is required for this role.
The role will involve the facilitation of specialist psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups, individual sessions, and the completion of assessments and treatment plans for a range of patients.
The successful candidate will be required to complete 60% of their contracted hours as clinical hours. This role is hospital-based and will therefore require the successful candidate to work in-person delivering face-to-face therapy sessions due to current demand.
This role provides successful candidates with the opportunity to work on weekdays, evenings, or weekends, depending on their availability.
Our service is based on a strong, friendly multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on supporting our staff through regular supervision, staff support groups, and annual appraisals. Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential.
Applications from those working towards BACP accreditation within the next six to 12 months might be considered depending on experience, with a revised salary banding of £31,000-£35,000 pro rata until full accreditation is achieved. Evidence must be provided at application.
