Job Description:
The Grant Thornton Digital Audit Team provides best-in-class digital products, services, and skills to enable the auditors of the future to set the industry benchmark for professional services firms, leveraging digital, data, and technology opportunities to be the number one practice for audit quality, client service, and operational excellence.
The Test Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the testing activities within the organization. This role involves defining the testing strategy, creating test plans, assigning tasks to team members, and monitoring the progress of testing activities. The Test Manager will work closely with Development Managers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
A look into the role
As a Test Manager you will:
1. Develop and implement test strategies, governance, plans, and procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.
2. Coordinate and manage all testing activities, including functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
3. Lead a team of Test Analysts and Manual Testers, providing guidance and support.
4. Collaborate with the Development Team and Product Owners to coordinate the delivery of products.
5. Work with Technical Support Managers to ensure proper delivery of test results and analyze production failures for process improvements.
6. Produce and maintain technical documentation related to testing activities.
7. Ensure alignment of testing activities with other lifecycle activities, such as requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
8. Participate in daily progress meetings, presenting test improvements and developments.
9. Manage test tools development and configuration management activities.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a Test Manager, the minimum criteria is that you are an experienced tester ready to move from being an individual contributor to supporting teams or will already have experience leading testing teams to ensure quality across the development or product lifecycle. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
* Knowledge of Azure DevOps (or equivalent) and quality assurance methodologies.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* ISTQB certification is a plus.
* Strong understanding of test management processes, design techniques, and best practices.
* Experience in test planning, test analysis, test design, and test implementation.
* Familiarity with test automation tools and methodologies.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
