Salary - £14.50 per hour

At Norwood, we deliver wide-ranging services including residential and supported living accommodation, short-breaks facilities, a range of therapeutic services including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and psychotherapy, as well as a range of support groups aimed at the whole family, not just the individual.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker - Supported Living to assist the Manager in the day to day running of services for Adults with Learning Disabilities and other needs. To lead the team delivering a person-centred service through Active Support with a commitment to Life Long Learning and independence for all.

The property is a large, detached house which is wheelchair accessible throughout the ground floor. There are 4 ground floor bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bathrooms are wet rooms with accessible baths and overhead hoists.
The kitchen and lounge are modern and comfortable with an interactive sensory room. The garden is large and has been landscaped.
It has an office for staff administration and sleep in shifts.
The location is close to the town centre which has shops and local amenities with easy access to public transport. Free parking is available around the location.

Skills and Experience required:
Experience in Care and Support of Adults with Learning Disabilities
Experience in person centred planning and risk assessment
Ability to swim and support others in our hydrotherapy pool
QCF Level 3 or NVQ 3 or willingness to work towards a relevant care qualification
Knowledge of current legislation
Excellent leadership skills
Effective communicator
Driver preferred
