About the role
In your role as Senior Project Manager you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to be responsible for managing a team of IT Project Managers which is critical for the delivery of the IT Portfolio plan.
You will manage the delivery of medium to large-sized projects, and/or larger programmes (a mix of technical and non-technical work packages) using an agreed project management methodology.
What you will be doing
As a trusted part of the IT team, you will be responsible for:
* Lead planning and delivery of medium to large IT projects and programmes
* Produce and maintain project documentation to a high standard
* Support IT Portfolio Manager with planning, reporting, and resource allocation
* Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication
* Mentor IT Project Managers and support development planning
* Ensure adherence to governance and change control processes
* Promote and implement best practice in project and resource management
About you

To be successful in the role you will have:
* Strong knowledge and experience in project management and governance
* Certified by a recognised project management body (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)
* Proven track record delivering complex IT projects and programmes
* Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational skills
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement abilities
* Experience managing third-party IT suppliers
* Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud, and networking
