I am looking for a talented and detail-focused Pattern Cutter to join our client on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with designers, production teams, and suppliers to bring beautifully crafted garments to life. If you have a passion for precision, fit, and craftsmanship, we’d love to meet you.
What you'll be doing:
Pattern Management & Production

* Organize and regularly update the pattern library, keeping everything easy to find and well documented.
* Collect patterns from suppliers after each project, ensuring nothing is lost or overlooked.
* Finalize, refine, and grade patterns to meet production standards.
* Handle pattern-related questions, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
* Keep technical specs and pattern measurements perfectly aligned and up to date.
Made-to-Order (MTO) Management
* Lead the pattern creation and adjustment process for MTO orders, focusing on fit and precision.
* Develop and manage MTO patterns according to each client's unique measurements.
* Collaborate with Account Managers and Production Teams to ensure a perfect final product.
* Quality-check all MTO garments before they leave the studio.
Product Development & Fit Sessions
* Support the Head of Studio in creating first patterns from design sketches.
* Attend fit sessions and ensure all feedback is translated into updated patterns at every stage.
* Keep specification workbooks current with all updated measurements.
Special Projects & Studio Support
* Assist with key projects, such as:
* Block standardization for consistency across collections.
* Organizing pattern documentation and building a clear reference library.
What we’re looking for:
* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role (experience in tailoring or workwear is a plus).
* Strong proficiency with Gerber (or similar CAD software).
* Meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of garment construction.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Great communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
