The Role
Reporting to the Design Director, the Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for a major client, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. You will act as the key liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations effectively.
Key Responsibilities of the Account Manager:
* Act as the day-to-day client contact, managing expectations and maintaining regular communication.
* Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, monitoring daily progress and addressing any issues.
* Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial enquiry to delivery and installation.
* Coordinate with manufacturing, outsourcing, transport, suppliers, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
* Handle client briefings, such as tenders and design projects, and provide internal teams with detailed project requirements.
* Maintain up-to-date client documentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Provide accurate pipeline and forecast updates to the Senior Management team to support business planning.
* Produce and maintain project documentation, including reports, spreadsheets, and control sheets.
* Collaborate with estimating, procurement, and production teams to ensure project continuity and success.
About You
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in account management or client management, ideally in a similar role.
* The ability to read and understand technical or manufacturing drawings.
* Experience working with manufactured metal or joinery products (desirable).
* Excellent organisational, planning, and administrative skills.
* High levels of diligence and attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Fully proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
* A collaborative approach to working with internal and external teams.
