The company are a leader in advanced energy solutions and renewable power generation and our looking for a Field Service Engineer - Automation to join their team. Overview: In this role, you will be primarily involved in preparing, performing, testing and commissioning marine automation related activities in support of new build, upgrade and service related projects In this role you will focus on: Engineering activities - preparing, planning, testing and commissioning high and low voltage automation system upgrades. You will perform routine maintenance tasks and training across all the companies Marine UK customer base automation systems, both onshore and offshore. Analysing, diagnosing and repairing automation related software and hardware defects across all automation systems installed across the the companies Marine UK customer base. Writing, updating and maintaining documentation in line with company procedures and best practice. Providing technical support to both the customer and internal staff as required. Liaising with the engineering department, Fleet Managers and other personnel as required to fulfil the role of Lead Automation Engineer. Complying with both company and customer EHS policies, procedures and safe systems of work. Experiences Required: Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, from a reputable College or University; alternatively, you'll have experience working on on large automation systems. Experience working with PC/PLC equipment. Experience and knowledge of PLC programming ladder diagram and function blocks. Experience of work on larger Automation Systems with HMI PCs. Understanding of networks/network equipment and communication protocols like Modbus. Established record of site work. This position offers a location premium package/over time pay, with the total compensation ranging between £60,000 - £80,000.
