About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Plant Facilities Manager to manage the upkeep, development, and maintenance of the Witham M&M sites in a robust, safe & cost-efficient manner, under the guidance of the Laboratory & HSE Managers.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring that there are preventative maintenance systems in place to help maximise the uptime of plant, laboratory equipment, and instrumentation.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing and leading the change of facilities to ensure minimum disruption to the business core activities, fully utilising ‘Upkeep’ our chosen CMMS application.
* Accountable for ensuring all works are conducted safely in accordance with legislation and BV policy & procedures.
* Ensuring that the built environment and in scope equipment assets are maintained to meet compliance and licensing requirements.
* Responding quickly to emergencies that arise in the workplaces and dealing with them appropriately.
* Coordination and planning of essential business services at Witham M&M sites including maintenance, cleaning, grounds & buildings, HVAC, mechanical & electrical, heating/cooling, security & effluent treatment plant.
* Managing renovations, refurbishments, and office moves.
* Leading and coordinating the team to cover multiple areas of responsibility.
* Monitoring contractors and checking that the work assigned to workers and contractors is completed in a satisfactory manner.
* Responsible for reducing energy consumption and promoting sustainability in our buildings to enable us to achieve our GHG emissions target of 42% reduction in scope 1 & 2 by 2030.
* Managing budgets and controlling maintenance costs.
* Responsible for implementing the asset management strategy.
