Your role:
This role will provide effective leadership in the development and delivery of commissioned and in-house accommodation options, along with intervention and prevention services. You will play a key role in ensuring that housing solutions meet the substantial and growing needs across the borough. Your efforts will help housing contribute significantly to the health, wellbeing, resilience, and independence of individuals, families, and sustainable communities.
You will identify opportunities for innovation, promote evidence-based decision-making, and incorporate best practices from outside the organisation. This will involve reviewing, co-designing, commissioning, and continuously developing high-quality services that promote the independence, resilience, and wellbeing of our service users.
You will manage a wider team responsible for developing and overseeing a variety of accommodation options, and engage strategically with Registered Providers, developers and other private and social housing providers to facilitate the growth of affordable housing supply. Building strong relationships with partners, you will proactively engage with customers, staff, and providers to inform all aspects of service development and commissioning.
About you:
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and positive in outlook. The individual will have an extensive background in partnership development and will actively promote and demonstrate the ‘New Era’ approach with residents, providers, partner agencies, and the workforce. With a strong track record in service management and delivery, the successful individual must be able to inspire and engage with individuals both within and outside of the Local Authority.
The successful candidate is expected to have significant experience of change management and a strong track record in improvement and transformation in both direct and commissioned services.
