About the role: The London Borough of Waltham Forest in partnership with the North-East London ICB (formed on 1st of July 2022) have implemented a new integrated commissioning structure and arrangements for Waltham Forest. This exciting development comes at a time when the health and social care sectors are looking to the future of the landscape and the implementation of Place Based Partnerships and Integrated Care Systems. We are working with local people and partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. These posts will play a key role in the developing Waltham Forest place-based team and present an exciting development opportunity for the right candidate. Integrated Commissioning Managers work as part of a team across all of our portfolios – Start, Live and Age Well, however this post will focus on Live Well. We are looking for extensive experience in NHS and/or Local Government commissioning, including the delivery of national targets, experience of integrated working between the NHS and local government, evidence of delivering transformational change programmes, and a proven ability to be both flexible and agile at a strategic level. Also, with significant experience of navigating the decision-making processes and governance arrangements across the health and care system. >> Click here to download the Role Profile Key Responsibilities: Lead projects, commissions or improvement programmes, and contribute to the delivery of larger programmes of work Identify and interpret issues, trends and problems, which may have a broad impact both within the Council/CCG and for partner organisations, resolving these as appropriate and escalating complex problems if necessary. Advise Directors, Members and others on issues relevant to the service area. Provide professional challenge and advice to colleagues, managers and partner organisations. Ensure the development and delivery of continuous improvements in all aspects of the service. Prepare and present a full range of reports (both standard and non-standard) covering area of responsibility. Develop good working relationships and communicate effectively with internal / external organisations / partners and stakeholders. Represent specialist area internally and / or externally. Model, demonstrate and promote good practice relevant to the role. Act in accordance with all policies and procedures which apply to the job and understand the reasons for this. Qualifications and Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent standard. Post graduate qualification. Relevant professional qualification.
