About this role: Reporting into the EVP, UK Managing Director, this role is integral to the future success of the UK business as well as driving growth of our Commercial Function. This position is a highly commercial role and will work closely with peers across the UK and Ireland Management Team and external executive stakeholders to drive overall business growth and meet our ambitious targets for FY25 and beyond. The UK Strategic Account Management & Partnerships Director is responsible and accountable for approximately 50% of the UK Commercial P&L with the focus on large enterprise, mid-market and strategically important SMEs across Restaurants within Account Management but also Grocery and Retail within Partnerships, working closely in partnership with the UK Grocery Director. This hybrid role combines both enterprise account management leadership with direct enterprise sales responsibilities ensuring both retention and growth of existing high-value accounts whilst securing new business which is essential for the future growth of the business across verticals. This role provides strong leadership to the UK Strategic Account Management and Partnerships teams which is over 55 FTEs across varying levels leading a team of four Heads of Department across QSR, National Chains, Strategic Supply and Partnerships. These are some of the key ingredients to the role: To lead, inspire and motivate a team of sales professionals, creating a high performing environment by setting expectations and goals, and providing guidance/direction as needed to ensure achievement alongside talent management and development. An integral part of the UK Management team who are responsible for the health and and success of the UK market and provide leadership of cross functional UK projects and strategic initiatives, as required working collaboratively with group functions. Strategic Account Management Act as the primary executive contact for key partners, build strong and comprehensive relationships with decision makers and senior stakeholders across partners across QSR, National Chains and where needed, Strategic Supply. Gain insights into market dynamics, competitor landscape and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and refine our partnership approach across Restaurant Strategic Accounts Management. Develop and execute the overall strategy and roadmap for the Restaurant Strategic Accounts vertical within the UK, aligned with the company objectives and market trends. Identify and evaluate growth opportunities and work closely with relevant stakeholders internally to influence and develop these both within the UK and, where appropriate, across other markets. Manage the trading performance for Strategic Accounts within the UK market to achieve against our targets driving accountability across the team. Ensuring robust forecasting and planning is in place across teams to deliver against target, building out the relevant trade plans and working closely with functions across the business to ensure successful execution. Ability to frame, drive commercial and numerical analysis and turn these into concrete insights, actions and business improvement opportunities. Ensure strong growth focused Joint Business Plans are in place across key accounts, ensuring alignment and that we are effectively managing and tracking against these plans. Partnerships (Sales) Responsible and accountable for formulating and executing the acquisition strategy for enterprise, mid-market and SMEs across the Restaurant industry as well as acquiring grocers and retailers in the UK in partnership with the UK Grocery & Retail Director. Developing strong relationships with key counterparts at target partners and ensuring best-in-class pitch processes with robust data, insight and commercial frameworks to enable the sales process and deliver results working in partnership with key stakeholders across the business including Commercial Finance, Marketing and Data and Analytics, as well as Grocery & Retail where relevant). Set the standard when it comes to contractual negotiations (with both existing and new supply) within the wider team and business. Be an expert when it comes to contractual negotiations, thinking creatively and using prior experience to build commercial playbooks to ensure win-win opportunities with our partners. Ensure that new partners are set up for success on the Just Eat platform, ensuring quality of execution and go to market planning as well as alignment with the relevant account management function to drive partnership success (either in team within Restaurant or outside of team within Grocery and Retail) What will you bring to the table? Significant prior experience in a Leadership role within sales/account management/trading with well rounded, strong experience across a breadth of all areas of sales. Demonstrable track record of strong commercial leadership with evidence of consistently meeting and exceeding targets. Relentless, focused on delivering the end goal, someone who goes the extra mile to get the job done. Relevant industry experience from a consumer oriented business, preferably with significant exposure to technology and/or e-commerce Strategic and commercial ability, keen intellect, high integrity and outstanding relationship management skills. Strong commercial instinct and entrepreneurial drive combined with the ability to be innovative, take initiative and take calculated risks. Hunger to succeed within a commercially led operating environment with strong commercial instinct and ability to effectively drive programmes and workstreams. High levels of emotional intelligence, ability to coach, develop and mentor at all levels Ability to build, maintain and influence productive cross-functional relationships to drive business and create high performing teams through thoughtful yet decisive leadership and a positive ‘can-do, get it done’ attitude Ability to work well within a fast paced environment and is sensitive to changing priorities and able to work as a change agent within the business.
