Job Title: Complex Care Support Worker

Wage/Salary: £20.80 Weekdays and £22.80 Weekends | Gross per Hour

Days & Hours: 12-hour shifts, at 7.00am/pm. Days and Waking Nights. Offering up to 3 shifts per week
About this client/child:
Thomas, aged 5, lives at home surrounded by his loving family including his 3-year-old brother. Thomas has a Perinatal Hypoxic Brain Injury resulting in profound developmental delay, complex care and medical needs, including dystonic cerebral palsy, a PEG in situ, and epilepsy. He requires suctioning and receives support from multiple medical professionals. Thomas is making fantastic progress with his rehabilitation, and the Support Worker will provide support in all aspects of his care, including complex medical needs.
Overview of role:
The Support Worker will anticipate Thomas’ care needs, providing support during the day and waking night shifts. Bespoke training is provided, but previous experience with epilepsy and suctioning is essential. The rota is provided 4 weeks in advance, and while shifts cannot be guaranteed, availability will be accommodated as much as possible.
