Business Development Manager (Capital Equipment)
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £40,000 to 45,000 basic plus £60,000 OTE and Bonus, Vehicle, Pension, Life Cover, Health Cash Plan, Benefits.
We are an importer and distributor of Forklifts and Warehouse Equipment for the UK & Ireland. We have decades of experience in the materials handling industry and pride ourselves on our extensive and versatile product and service range. We sell, hire and maintain quality equipment nationwide.
Job Spec:
We are actively recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover a specified location in terms of sales of both new and used equipment across our range of capital equipment. This role will predominantly target small to medium sized accounts with a focus on regional business.
Although there is an element of recurring business, this is a role focused on new business development. We need somebody to be active in their patch, bringing in new customers to our local depots.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. A background in Materials Handling or similar capital equipment sales.
2. Proven ability to prospect new business to ensure enough leads are generated to meet or exceed agreed unit targets.
3. Organised and driven, with the ability to understand your area, customers, and individual requirements.
4. Confident manner with a focus on building relationships.
5. Ability to tailor solutions to each customer to resolve problem points during the sales process.
6. Meet agreed sales targets in terms of unit sales and gross profit.
