Job Description
* Drive lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the manufacturing department.
* Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
* Train and mentor staff on lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency.
* Support management by identifying and solving operational issues.
* Take responsibility for quality control, ensuring all products manufactured on the factory floor meet high-quality standards as per the company manual. Address any poor-quality issues with the Factory Manager.
* Lead projects to reduce waste and improve quality.
* Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Lean Manufacturing Engineer should have:
* Experience in implementing and improving lean principles in a manufacturing site.
* A degree in Engineering or a related field, with the ability to read CAD drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train staff.
* Ability to work under pressure, with a keen desire to learn and a proactive attitude.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience
* Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential.
* Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
* Experience with logic controllers and the ability to interpret schematics is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions in a manufacturing setting.
