Looking for a brand new flexible job where you can make a difference every day? If this sounds like you, then read on as our amazing Team Water are now on the lookout for new relief Support Practitioners in Strichen.
The Role
As a relief colleague, you will play an important part in our team, ensuring that we still provide the best care and support possible during times of staff training, holidays, and absence.
The main purpose of your role will be to support an amazing gentleman in his own home with all aspects of his daily living, e.g., shopping, finances, cooking, meal planning, housework, and personal care.
With the gentleman also enjoying various hobbies and interests, you may also find yourself getting involved in swimming, the outdoors, watching and listening to sports, and going for walks to name a few.
We recruit on values and transferable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification.
About You
To be a great Support Practitioner we'll need you to have the following qualities:
* Good communication skills
* A caring attitude and approach
* A positive approach to learning
* Confidence in the use of computers
* The ability to cook
* Confidence to provide support in the water as swimming is a regular activity
It would be great if you were also a driver with at least a year's experience on the roads as the gentleman we support has his own mobility car; however, this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
Shift Patterns
Our dedicated team provides 24/7 care and support which includes early mornings, evenings, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and hold the right to close our advert early if we receive many applications. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
