Residential Support Worker – Young People (Care Leavers and Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers)
Full-Time - West London and Surrey
Salary: £23,000- £26,000 pa.

We provide high-quality accommodations coupled with key work support to ensure young people develop the life skills and general knowledge to enable them to manage their finances, maintain their home, understand the benefit system, manage their risks, and understand how to keep themselves safe.
Current Requirement
Due to rapid expansion, we are actively seeking committed, conscientious, and high-caliber support workers to join our dynamic team based in the West London and Surrey area. You will be providing key work support to young people that reside within our 24-hour shared accommodation units.
Hours: 40 hours p/w in 8-hour shifts. Shift Pattern: Alternate shift patterns including days, evenings, and waking nights. Some weekend work may be required.
Location: West London and Surrey
Contract: Permanent

Visa Sponsorship: We are able to offer a tier 2 visa sponsorship (for applicants already in the UK).
Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in the Children and Young People Workforce, Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or equivalent qualification. Applicants without a Level 3 will be required to work towards this qualification and will be provided with training & support.
The Role
Main Purpose of Job:
1. To ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to service users, partner organizations, and staff in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
2. To undertake direct work with young people living in our 24-hour unit shared accommodation.
Direct Work Responsibilities:
1. Ensure young people are effectively inducted into the homes and have a good experience.
2. Form caring, respectful, trusting, and professional relationships with allocated young people.
3. Contribute to the holistic assessment of individual young people’s needs.
4. Compile and work through comprehensive individual risk assessments.
5. Write comprehensive daily reports and handovers.
6. Provide emotional and practical support to young people.
Service Delivery:
1. Deliver services in accordance with the organization’s policies and encourage young people’s participation.
2. Ensure case records and reports are completed clearly and accurately.
3. Participate in supervision sessions with your line manager.
Property Management:
1. Assist in ensuring accommodation is clean and tidy.
2. Observe Health and Safety requirements.
Additional Info:
1. Promote young people’s equality, diversity rights, and responsibilities.
2. Work independently at this unit and possibly in various locations.
