Salary: £28,000 up to £30,000 per Annum

We are currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and professional Weighbridge Planner to manage weighbridge operations, support logistical functions, and contribute to the seamless running of our depot.
Role Overview:
As the Weighbridge Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing daily weighbridge operations, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will serve as the primary point of contact for vehicles entering and exiting the depot, monitoring the weighing process, managing third-party sales, and supporting the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Manager with administrative and operational tasks. This position is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Transport & Route Planning: Efficiently plan and coordinate transport routes for effective resource management.
* Vehicle and Load Management: Manage all vehicles entering and exiting the depot, accurately weighing loads and recording data in Weighsoft, supplemented by photographic evidence.
* Record Keeping & Compliance: Ensure precise recording of inputs and outputs, produce weighbridge tickets, and monitor compliance with waste handling regulations.
* Financial Management: Collect, document, and report cash payments to the Head Office.
* Reporting: Prepare and process daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the MRF Manager and assist with any ad-hoc projects as required.
* Sales & Customer Service: Lead on managing third-party sales, maintain client relationships, verify waste carrier licenses, and handle customer complaints professionally.
* Fuel Monitoring: Track fuel levels (red/white diesel) and report to operations.
* Team Coordination & Communication: Operate hands-free radio and CCTV systems, collaborate closely with MRF team members, and keep communication lines open for smooth operations.
* Health, Safety & Environment: Adhere to HSE procedures, contribute to audits, take corrective action, and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
* General Administration: Support other team members with administrative tasks, ensure tidy site facilities, and maintain all designated areas to company standards.
Requirements:
* Experience in Logistics or Weighbridge Operations: Previous experience in weighbridge management, logistics, or a similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong Administrative Skills: Proficiency in Weighsoft or similar software, with an eye for detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
* Knowledge of HSE Standards: Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Communication Skills: Professional, clear, and courteous communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick decision-making skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
* Team Player: A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge and support team initiatives.
