This role sits within the Product Development team within theengineering function. You will be responsible for delivering the technology andproduct roadmap as well as executing new and exciting research to feed into theupcoming portfolio of projects.
The technology landscape is continuously evolving, and the team needs tobe aware of industry changes, new devices coming to market and updates toregulatory and compliance. This ensures that the technology and productroadmaps are aligned, and that technical research is executed to increasematurity and decrease product development risk.
About the Senior Analogue Electronics Engineer:
For this role you will need to be capable of leading and owning workpackages from inception through to completion. You will have the opportunity totake accountability for the product, ensuring excellent quality that meets thenecessary business requirements.
As part of the role, you will provide a technical interface to theproduct management team, developing concepts and ideas in-line with the variousproduct roadmaps, driving the correct technology and maturity into the overallproduct design.
The position requires application of analogue electronics engineeringknowledge in planning, leading and executing design tasks having scope forindependent accomplishment and co-ordination of assignments. You will developtechnical solutions to problems which require the regular use of ingenuity andcreativity.
Requirements for the Senior Analogue Electronics Engineer:
The ideal candidate will be qualified with an engineering degree, orequivalent, in Electronic Engineering or similar. You will be a very skilled,all-round electronics designer, possess excellent communication skills, and beable to demonstrate a strong working knowledge in the following areas:
1. Analogue design
- Design and characterization of low noise, analogue receiver front endamplifiers
- Discrete transistor circuit design
- Power amplifiers up to 200kHz 1W – 150W, Class B & Class D
2. Switch Mode PSUs, including:
- Very low noise/EMI, high efficiency, low power
- Magnetics
3. Design to meet EMC, Radio, and Safety regulations
4. Schematic capture & circuit simulation
5. Extensive experience in product development
