We are seeking dedicated and compassionate in person tutors to support secondary-aged pupils who are currently unable to attend school due to additional needs, transitioning between school placements, or dealing with high anxiety needs.
As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students continue their education by providing one-on-one, personalised tuitionin Maths and English. Your work will empower students to regain confidence, build academic skills, and thrive in a supportive and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-person tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s individual learning needs
Offer specialized support to students with health challenges, school transitions, and anxiety
Focus on building proficiency in Maths and English at the secondary level
Create a calm, patient, and encouraging learning environment
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience tutoring Maths and English at secondary school level
Experience working with students facing health conditions, school placement transitions, or anxiety-related challenges
Strong interpersonal skills and a nurturing, empathetic approach
Ability to adapt to each student’s unique needs and learning style

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
