Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTOO)
Border to Coast
Leeds (hybrid)
Innovation, expertise, scale and good governance – since our inception in 2018, Border to Coast has delivered the ambitions of pooling for our Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Partner Funds. Responsible for managing or overseeing more than £52bn of assets and with 170 colleagues based at our offices in Leeds, today we are the largest asset manager outside London and Edinburgh, and we are embracing the opportunity to further improve long-term outcomes for LGPS funds, beneficiaries and taxpayers.
Pooling enables our Partner Funds to improve value for money through scale, expand access to investment opportunities, and strengthen governance to deliver cost-effective long-term returns on behalf of more than 1.1 million LGPS members, approximately 3,100 employers, and millions of taxpayers associated with our Partner Funds.
As a customer-owned, customer-focussed organisation, we’ve developed a reputation as long-term, responsible and innovative investors. We have also delivered over £70m in savings and are on track to deliver over £367m in our first decade of operation, delivering better value for our Partner Funds. Following the Mansion House reforms announced by the Chancellor, this is an exciting time to be part of pension pooling.
