Children and Young Adult Support Worker Outskirts of Royston £12.37 - £13.49 per hour (depending on experience) PLUS £1,500 Welcome Bonus Local children's home and school providing education, care and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 9 - 19 years are seeking Support Workers to join their team. Working a 4 week rota pattern, this role will average 40 hours per week for full-time staff and flexible shifts and hours are available for part-time staff including weekend only hours if required. You will be responsible for: Providing exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care. Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy. Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and develop Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable Helping develop their learning and social skills wherever possible Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required This will be a tough yet completely rewarding role. Ultimately, individuals with a passion to build relationships and positively change the lives of the children and young adults that they work with will thrive. Most important is that you can demonstrate the right attitude to make a difference to children and young adults with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders.
