Job summary
Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation trust are excited to share a full time permanent vacancy for our Recovery team based in Gloucester. This serviceprovides secondary care General Adult Psychiatric input to Gloucester environs alongside the parallel "Glevum" recovery team, the role works with a selection of independent functional teams including Crisis Teams, Assertive Outreach, Early Intervention, Perinatal Service and the Eating Disorders teams.
The post holder will work alongside a part time ( WTE) consultant colleague as well as supported by a specialty doctor and wider recovery multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The area covered by this post and team includes around 88000 people in primary care within the Gloucester City Integrated Locality Partnership.
The role is line managed by the Medical Lead for Recovery.
Key clinical duties include:
1. Provide medical leadership to the MDT and oversight to the work of the Specialty Doctor
2. To take part in triage, assessment, care planning and the delivery of care to patients eligible to be seen by the Recovery Team
3. To offer advice to GPs within the patch and to liaise with other trust teams as appropriate for patient care including Crisis and Home Treatment Team, Inpatient Wards, Criminal Justice Liaison Team, Hospital Liaison Team and Mental Health Intermediate Care Team.
4. To engage with Safeguarding and Child Protection processes
5. To engage with Audit, Quality Improvement Processes
