About The Role
We have a dynamic opportunity in our Cheltenham office, working in our award-winning Employment and Immigration team.
This team offers specialist advice and support on everything from employment contracts and policies to settlement agreements, tribunal claims, restructuring, grievances, discipline, and discrimination. This team supports businesses, including our own, with everything people-focused.
Responsibilities
This Paralegal post is ideal for an eager candidate, with an interest in Employment Law, looking to establish themselves in a role with diverse responsibilities:
1. Constructing employment tribunal bundles.
2. Undertaking legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner.
3. Drafting legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates.
4. Ensuring all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR.
5. Attending court with fee earners where required.
6. Routine file management including file opening and billing.
As an additional responsibility, you would take on the post of marketing lead for the department, working in close collaboration with our marketing team and your wider department to support related events and social media campaigns.
About You
As a Paralegal you will need to have:
1. A genuine interest in Employment Law.
2. Legal qualification (preferably post LPC or working towards).
3. Excellent organisational capability with attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
4. Ability to work as an effective member of a team and support multiple fee earners.
5. Strong IT skills with accurate typing capability.
6. Our ideal candidate would be a proactive self-starter who demonstrates a willingness to learn.
