We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our Service department in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work on the latest technology in an environment that demands quality workmanship whilst maintaining a commitment to outstanding customer service and ‘right first time’ repairs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various engineering software tools. The ideal candidate will possess level three qualifications. MOT tester ideal but not essential. This role involves working on diverse projects that require both technical expertise and creativity in problem-solving. You will ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and be confident in working within a team environment and also capable of working independently. You will be required to work Monday – Friday 8:00 to 17:30 and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00 to 12:00. This is a full time contract with weekly or monthly pay. The successful candidate will be skilled in all aspects of diagnostics, electronics, servicing and vehicle repairs. You must be flexible, focused and a great team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Responsibilities Operate and maintain various mechanical systems and equipment. Assist in troubleshooting issues with existing systems and implement improvements. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on Jaguar & Land Rover products. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Perform vehicle inspections and provide accurate assessments of repairs needed Maintain detailed records of all work performed Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate within a team environment. Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Hold a full UK driving licence for both manual and automatic vehicles (with no more than 3 points on your licence) 3 years motor trade experience.
