They provide support to the committee, facilitate effective communication between members and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Additionally, they oversee IT systems, manage digital platforms and maintain the LMC website. Main duties of the job Wakefield LMC has an exciting opportunity for a Lay Secretary due to the retirement of the current post holder. This is a part-time role of 20 hours over 5 days (hours negotiable). Attendance at one evening meeting per month is required. Partial home working will be considered. Office base is Crofton Health Centre, Wakefield. This key role involves providing vital support to the committee, ensuring smooth administration, governance and strategic operations. The Lay Secretary will facilitate effective communication between members and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities and a good understanding of IT systems.
