Description
A lady in her 30’s requires a PA to help enable her to access the local community. The lady also requires support at home with toileting, washing and dressing. She has a rare condition which means she is incredibly fragile and requires a PA to be very gentle with her. She loves watching films both at home and at the cinema, listening to music, chatting and socialising. She also really enjoys a game of bingo at coffee morning!
Purpose
Trip to the cinema.
Taking the lady out for coffee.
A spin in the car.
If she is having a tired day, just sitting with her at home, chatting and generally keeping her company.
Prompting and supporting her to eat and you may occasionally need to feed her if she is having a bad day.
Support with toileting, washing and dressing.
Supporting to stand and transfer.
Pushing the wheelchair.
Any other suitable duties to help her socialise.

Some previous experience would be an advantage, this can be informal or formal care experience, but this is not mandatory.
Hours
5 hours on a Saturday. Times are flexible from 10:00am onwards. There will be the potential of increasing to 10 hours per week.

If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
