At Pobl Group, this role is best known as a Scheme Support Officer. Castle House is looking for compassionate and creative individuals to join the team and support our residents on their journey towards independent living. This is a permanent, part-time (24hrs), position.
For this position, it is essential that the successful candidate has a driver's license and access to a car.

Castle House provides supported accommodation to homeless individuals over the age of 18, focusing on offenders and those with substance and alcohol misuse issues. Our mission is to offer housing-related support and equip our residents with the skills they need to transition to independent living.
Your Role: As a Scheme Support Officer at Castle House, you will:
- Support and Empower: Work closely with up to 7 residents, offering personalised support to help them develop tenancy management skills.
- Engage and Connect: Facilitate connections with external services, ensuring residents have access to the resources they need.
- Innovate and Inspire: Design and participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, creating a vibrant and supportive community.
- Make a Difference: Play a crucial role in each resident's journey towards independence, making every day unique and rewarding.
Our motivation is to ensure we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours who may not always want to engage in the support we have on offer so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
Part of your role will also include sleep-in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a secluded area that includes a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.

Competitive hourly rate of £12.15 per hr - Additional payment of £51.11 for each sleep-in
Shift pattern: the service is staffed 24/7 therefore you will be required to work: Days, waking nights, sleep-ins and weekend availability.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for
26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
