Are you a quick thinking, problem-solving dynamic Physiotherapist? Are you looking to enhance your assessment and treatment skills for patients in crisis? Do you enjoy working alongside other professionals and services to achieve the best outcome for your patients? This post could be what you are looking for!
STARRS provides Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services which can include specialist assessment, equipment and short-term packages of care.
We are an energetic service, which provides a comprehensive service to enable safe, timely Early Supported Discharge from the acute hospital, thereby reducing the length of hospital stay by continuing patient care at home. The team is operational 7 days a week between the hours of 08:00 and 22:30.
We require a Physiotherapist with experience in clinical areas including the community setting. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning, risk assessment, verbal and written communication skills. Due to the response standards for the team, you must be able to work under pressure and provide timely specialist Physio assessments and interventions. You will be expected to be able to work autonomously and undertake visits in line with the STARRS’ Lone Working Policy.
Experience of supervising other staff and students would be an advantage.
You will receive informal and formal supervision from experienced Physiotherapy colleagues within the team. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your existing high-level skills in an intermediate care setting. Through our ‘Top to Toe’ training, you will be proficient to undertake advanced clinical assessment of patients, which includes recognising and managing acutely unwell patients in the community. You will be encouraged to participate in Continuing Professional Development.
