Specialist In-Patient and Out-Patient MSK Physiotherapist
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a clinician to work across the Musculoskeletal pathway in both out patient and in-patient environment. The post holder will be required to work at all Swansea Bay University Health Board sites including: Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Singleton, Gorseinon and Morriston Hospitals to deliver a high quality in- patient and outpatient MSK care. You will need to have completed at least one or two rotations at both band 5 and 6 level in MSK out-patients and Trauma and Orthopaedics. Any additional MSK experience would be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
This role will involve working across the MSK pathway in both Primary Care out-patient services and Secondary Care inpatient areas in Trauma & Orthopaedics and Spinal as part of a 7 day rota. You will be involved with assessing and managing a wide range of MSK conditions including; acute fractures, post operative care and chronic condition management. The post holder will work alongside dedicated highly qualified clinicians who will support your professional development. The post holder will develop patient centred therapy and rehabilitation through utilising of extensive skills and abilities.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
* Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
* Professional Registration with HCPC
* Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent postgraduate courses/training
* Evidence of band 5 and 6 level NHS experience in MSK IP/ OP Physiotherapy
Experience
* Substantial broad range of experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist in an NHS rotational physiotherapy post
* Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or multi-disciplinary team
* Substantial contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff, students and assistants
* Ability to organize, prioritise and delegate
* Ability to cope with working in a stressful environment and with emotional or aggressive patients or carers
