The school, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Cover Supervisor in their Maths department. This role is ideal for recent graduates considering a career in teaching or those with experience working with young people in an educational setting. The Role: As a Maths Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s teaching staff by covering lessons during teacher absences. You will be responsible for managing the classroom, delivering pre-set work, and ensuring students remain focused and engaged. While this is not a teaching role, it offers valuable classroom experience and the opportunity to develop your skills in behaviour management and lesson delivery. Your key responsibilities will include: Supervising classes in the absence of the teacher and delivering pre-prepared lesson materials. Maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students. Managing student behaviour in line with the school’s policies. Providing support and guidance to students where necessary. Liaising with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who: Holds a degree in Mathematics or a related subject. Has a genuine passion for education and working with young people. Can confidently manage classroom behaviour and build positive relationships with students. Is adaptable, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
