About Us:
Plug Me In – Solar, part of the Calisen Group, is a leading provider of low carbon energy solutions. We are committed to achieving Net Zero ambitions and are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our Logistics team on a fixed-term contract until December 2025 .
Purpose of the Job:
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will carry out general warehouse activities including receiving, logging, picking, stock integrity, and issuing of goods. You will also act as the warehouse supervisor in their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as subject matter expert for all logistics-related aspects of the PMI Solar service.
2. Check, log, and correctly store all goods received/issued.
3. Pick and issue stock from appropriate Pick Face locations.
4. Assist with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
5. Carry out safe manual handling practices when moving goods.
6. Maintain accurate records of all logistics movements.
7. Conduct stocktakes as required.
8. Perform daily/weekly housekeeping checks.
9. Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements.
10. Take overall responsibility for the site when the Warehouse Supervisor is unavailable.
11. Participate in wider operational meetings representing the logistics function.
Person Specification:
12. Good level of general education (GCSE level or equivalent)
13. FLT Reach and/or Counterbalance licence is desirable
14. Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment
15. Previous experience in the low carbon or energy sector
16. Experience working with a range of stakeholders and external third parties
17. Experience in Logistics Operations
18. Knowledge of the Logistics Sector & Supplier Management
19. Self-starter with the ability to multitask
20. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
21. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
22. Good organisational and administrative skills
23. Ability to work unsupervised
