Salary: £35,615 + £5,238 shift allowance + OTE
Hours: 4-on/4-off rotational shifts, including weekends
Day shift: 7 am – 7 pm | Night shift: 7 pm – 7 am

About The Role
Due to business growth working with a Global brand in FMCG we are growing our team. We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage and oversee all asset / warehouse activities on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will need to be available for an October start date.
The Supervisor's responsibilities include supervising employees, effectively managing all aspects of H&S in relation to daily operations, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods is maintained and preparing relevant documentation. To be successful as a Warehouse Supervisor you should be experienced in optimising warehousing processes and be an effective team leader.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a team to ensure a smooth and productive shift, providing support and guidance as needed
* Clearly communicate job expectations and coach employees to ensure delivery of performance and productivity
* Determine staffing levels and assign workloads
* Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, despatching and assuring quality of goods
* Ensuring maintenance of standards and compliance with health and safety regulations, processes and procedures
* Flexibility including weekend working / overtime
* Measure and report the effectiveness of asset / warehousing activities and employee’s performance
* Organise and maintain inventory and storage areas
* Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
* Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
* Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilise reports to project warehouse status and peak requirements
* Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
* Collaborating with other departments of the Port and Group to ensure timely and accurate operations in an efficient and cost effect manner.
* Support and implement company initiatives contributing to the business 5-year plan
* Other projects or duties as necessary for the Port and wider Group business
* Ability to operate appropriate plant and equipment
* Prepared to undertake relevant training and development in line with Company requirements
What we're looking for:
* Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
* Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to confidently deliver team briefings and toolbox talks
* Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
* Proficient in operating/managing various loading equipment such as forklifts, PPTs & VNAs
* Extensive Knowledge of trailer loading operations / techniques
* Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
* Experience of working with collective agreements
* Experience with SAP (systems, applications, products) preferred
* Experience with Transporeon (Haulage management software) preferred
Qualifications:
* Certification in logistics, supply chain management or business administration (preferred)
