Siemens Energy AGT (Aeroderivative Gas Turbines) are excited to be hiring for a Regional Technical Support Engineer to join our friendly and knowledgeable team.
A Snapshot of Your Day
Working with Siemens Energy aero-derivative gas turbines (AGT) based at our facility in Warwick, as a technical support engineer you will take ownership for the investigation and resolution of emergent customer issues, as well as supporting the development and implementation of longer-term solutions alongside your engineering colleagues.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Take ownership for the technical matters relating to the support of the customers you are assigned to, including scheduled and unscheduled activities and issues.
2. Investigate and resolve technical issues in a timely yet safe manner, supporting the return to service of critical infrastructure equipment.
3. Engage with a range of functions across the business to deliver excellent support to your customers.
4. Identify opportunities for business development with customers, and provide technical leadership on such matters.
5. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support our customers, including the opportunity for overseas travel to customer sites.
What You Bring
1. Strong experience in the operation and service of gas turbines, with experience in aero-derivative gas turbines being advantageous.
2. Familiarity with and experience in the application of a range of problem-solving techniques, both theoretical and practical.
3. Comfort in working in dynamic, fast-paced customer-facing situations, with the ability to work flexibly to deliver creative, robust, safe solutions to our customers.
4. Flexibility, the ability to connect with others, and pride in bringing positive ideas to the team.
5. Willingness to take responsibility for tasks and projects assigned.
6. Ability to manage your own time and adapt to change.
7. Strong communication and reporting skills in English, with an appreciation of cultural differences that come with a global customer base.
