The Campus Operations Manager will manage the Benslow Music campus, a four-acre Victorian estate in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the role will ensure good repair and security of the site, as well as implement good health and safety practice. The role will lead on a proactive plan of maintenance for the campus (including management of key supplier relationships), and ensure that operational infrastructure such as IT systems supports business needs. It will also include leading Benslow Music’s compliance with health and safety requirements. Responsibilities include: management of Duty Managers and freelance contractors, budget management, developing systems and practices to support cross-team working and the delivery of Benslow Music’s work, performing risks assessments and support the effective and safe delivery of Benslow Music activity through the excellent provision of operational requirements. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record in building operations or management, and health and safety management. They will have strong administrative and organisational skills, the ability to collaborate and work autonomously, excellent communication skills, and good contract management with ability to successfully negotiate.
