Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Working Hours: 40hrs/per week (Generally Monday to Friday 9-5 but must be flexible to attend MDT on a Thursday evening and to provide any support required to ensure facilitation of OT activities where required)
Salary: £20 - £21.50 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is providing recruitment support to a valuable client located in the Nottingham NG19 area who is seeking an Occupational Therapist in a service that provides specialist nurse-led care with a supporting multi-disciplinary team for adults with complex needs arising from enduring mental ill health.
Job Summary
Recovery Management: To lead on creation, provision and supervision of the Recovery Focused Rehabilitation/Occupation programmes within the Service.
Team Collaboration: To liaise and integrate work with the Senior Governance Team and the Respective Multi-Disciplinary Team comprising of Senior Managers, Medical Staff, Social Care, Psychology, Therapist Consultants, Technical Instructor and Rehabilitation Assistive Staff.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
* Clinical - To select, apply and advise on mental health, disability and occupational therapy specific assessments.
* Communication - To establish robust communication networks with Service Users and the respective Multi-Disciplinary Team members.
* Documentation - To ensure that up to date written and electronic records and activity data are maintained in accordance with professional and company standards.
* Professional Ethics - To comply with the college of occupational therapy code of ethics and professional conduct and that of the Health Professional Council Registration. To hold full BAOT membership.
* Leadership, Supervision and Appraisal - To review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.
* Staff Training and Development - To undertake an instructor/teaching role within the company Training and Development programme.
* Service Development and Delivery - To provide specialist occupational therapy input to the planning, implementation and review of policies and development of the rehabilitation pathway within the unit.
* Professional Development - To apply specialist skills and knowledge in order to demonstrate professional competence and fitness to practice as a specialist Occupational Therapist.
* Service Governance and Quality Standards - To assist in the delivery of the company governance arrangements and quality agenda, including setting and monitoring of rehabilitation practice standards.
* Health and Safety - To ensure the safety and security of Service Users, colleagues and visitors are aware of the Company standards and policies.
* Commercial - To contribute to business growth by actively promoting the Company's therapy/rehabilitation service in line with the ideas of the Senior Governance Team.

* Occupational Therapy Qualification (Essential)
* Health and Care Professions Council Registration - HCPC (Essential)
* Minimum 2 years post qualification experience (Essential)
* Good communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for problem solving.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
* Compassionate and empathetic approach to service users' care
* Experience in managing service users' acute episodes
* Good knowledge of capacity assessments and DOL's
