Title: Town Planner
Location: Leeds
Our client is looking for a Planner with at least 1 year of planning experience in a local authority or a consultancy.

The Role:
As a Town Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of urban and rural spaces by providing strategic planning advice and navigating complex planning processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors, contributing to the delivery of high-quality developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit planning applications, including appeals and pre-application advice, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
* Undertake site appraisals and planning feasibility studies to assess development potential.
* Provide expert advice on planning regulations, constraints, and opportunities to clients.
* Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and external consultants to secure planning consents.
* Stay updated on planning policy changes and industry trends to ensure best practice.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited is preferred).
* Proven experience within a consultancy, local authority, or developer environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy frameworks.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* A proactive and adaptable approach with strong problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software such as GIS or design tools is advantageous.
