The role
As a Passes and Permits Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3 in creating and issuing personnel and vehicle passes to all personnel and visitors.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* Issue permanent passes and permits – including providing assistance and guidance on pass application process and the issue of temporary passes when required by guardroom staff.
* Control and secure the custody of passes and permits prior to issue – blank security forms are Unclassified. Blank ID cards are to be treated as Sensitive documents and safeguarded in accordance with JSP440.
* Carry out completion checks before issuing pass/permit to the recipient – including all relevant security checks following strict GDPR regulations.
* Collating of any required documentation for the completion of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) vetting of passes and permits for dependants, contractors, and social personnel – ensure correct completion of all documentation.
* Additional admin responsibilities as per business demands.
Essential experience:
* Supervisory and team management skills with previous evidence of team leadership and mentoring and the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a small team.
* Implementing of processes and policies and strong planning, organisational and communication skills.

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
